Whereas if you underwent liposuction around your abdominal area, you will likely have to wear some sort of abdominal wrap that will act as a compression device.
Take Your Antibiotics
As soon as you are sent into the recovery room following your liposuction surgery, the nurses will likely administer you some antibiotics. These antibiotics are designed to help prevent against any sort of infection that may occur following your surgery. It’s important to take take your antibiotics religiously for the allotted time once you are sent home— even if you feel like you don’t need them, continue to use them for as long as your doctor prescribed.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise or Activity
It takes approximately 7-10 days for your body to fully recover from liposuction surgery. During that week, avoid participating in any sort of strenuous exercise or activity. Because you did just undergo a fairly invasive medical procedure, your body needs to rest in order to recuperate. Additionally, any sort of strenuous exercise or activity could open up your incision site and cause some sort of infection.
